If you have a question you would like to ask the Parish Council then you can do so at a Parish Council meeting. On the agenda of each meeting is a period during which you can ask your question directly to the councillors. You normally have three minutes in which to address the Council. However due to certain protocols which have to be adhered to, it may not be possible to give you an answer at that meeting.
If you do not wish to attend or cannot attend a meeting then please feel free to email your question to info@alderminster-pc.gov.uk or phone 01789459073 (24 hour answerphone) and the Clerk will contact you as soon as possible. Electricity Supplies
Our electricity is brought to the village from the National Grid by E-On Central Networks. Included in your electricity bill from your supplier is a small proportion which is paid to E-On Central Networks to enable them to maintain the system of cables, sub stations, pylons etc. They are therefore responsible for ensuring our electricity is available 24/7. In the event of a failure they need to be contacted not your supplier. Their telephone number is 08000568090 for our area.
Every five years they have to apply to Ofwatt to obtain their financing for the following five years. They are currently putting their application together for the period 2010-2015 and need your help. They are obliged to consult with their consumers to seek their views on what they should be spending this money during that period. You can help them by completing a survey which can be found at www.central-networks.co.uk and following the link to "who we are" and then the link "stakeholder engagement". The more people that complete this survey the better idea they will have regarding what we would want from our Electricity suppliers.
