The Parish Council

The Parish Council members are elected every four years and there are 7 members. The CHAIR is elected by the serving members each year at the AGM held in May. The current elected members serving on the council until elections in 2012 are:

These members co-opted the following persons to the Parish Council at their meeting on 21st May 2008 who will serve until elections in 2012:

The County Councillor and District Councillor is Mrs.Izzy Seccombe.
Mrs. Seccombe will serve as District Councillor until 2012

Meetings of the Parish Council

The Parish Council meets bi-monthly usually on the third Wednesday in the month commencing in January. They are held in Alderminster Village Hall which is found off the A3400 in New Road. :

The meetings commence at 7.30pm.

There is always a period at the commencement of a Parish Council meeting for members of the public to address the members on any matters of concern whether or not those matters are on the agenda for the evening. Each member of the public is allowed 3 minutes in which to address the Parish Council.

The ANNUAL ASSEMBLY OF THE PARSH MEETING is an opportunity to hear a report from the Parish Council CHAIR and representatives of other local groups who may wish to give a report and to ask questions, make comments, make suggestions or to bring any matter of concern or interest to the assembly. This is usually held in March.

The ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the Parish Council is in May and at this meeting the elected members of the Parish Council elect the officers for the following year.
